Hard IP Identity Manager
Yotta's Intellectual Property ('IP') Identity Manager creates and maintains an archival view of the developing state of a company's IP. At any given moment, a company can invoke Yotta's technology and it return a cross-referenced, auditable, ledger of the information that had been used to build its developing IP portfolio. How far back Yotta's technology peers into the company's semiconductor process development to design to manufacturing workflow can be arbitrarily set. The company's Identity Manager uses its Smart Signature technology.

Today, it is impossible to create an auditable snapshot of a company's IP. Configuration and data management systems manage versions of files chronologically ordered on disk. They're heavily siloed / the unique instances of cell views (IP) within the files not cross-referenced back to their source and other dependent cell views. The files in this system representing a company's IP might not be correct / deprecated / untested / the wrong version. All diminish the value of a company's IP to others who, as examples, might want to purchase the company or set up a joint venture to develop next generation semiconductor technology.

The above diagram shows how Yotta takes this snapshot of the current state of its IP. The snapshot starts with a release of an PDK from the process development side of the semiconductor workflow to Fabless', System OEMs and 3rd Party IP Suppliers Library development teams. They're the team that creates an abstract view of (potentially manufacturable) standard cells that are released to IC block and chip-level design teams. Yotta creates a snapshot of these cell views at the leaf cell level. As they're put to use in Logic Design/Synthesis and Layout Integration, Yotta's technology keeps a ledger of what had been used and is in use at this level of detail. By tapeout, a company will have created a fully referential and archival view of a design's IP; including a full history of the cell views it had tried and last used to create the design.

This technology is invoked manually as a point tool. It peers into a company's PLM, configuration and data management systems and creates the snapshot. Yotta's technology does not divert or copy workflow data. It produces its snapshot on-the-fly. It stores only the signatures in Yotta's Master Database.
